YetepSoDown and Homemade Spaceship have teamed up to bring us a new drop, titled “Issa Vibe.” This is a great experimental track to help prepare us for Summer 2024. There are a ton of different influences and genres to be found in this great collaboration. Human Spaceship provides guitar and vocals, while SoDown provides his patented saxophone-tinged sound.
“Issa Vibe” is a glorious and diverse song featuring a number of surprise genres, influences, and creative decisions. It begins with a sample of behind the scenes studio coughing and “I can’t hear anything.. oh okay okay” chatter, as crushing guitars bust through the door unannounced. This is collaborating artist Homemade Spaceship making his grand entrance. Thick bass, shredding guitars, and SoDown’s patented saxophone dance in unison, as the beat lumbers on. Claps and Homemade Spaceship’s verses help bring a warm welcome to spiraling drums and bass, bringing us into a glitchy drop. The drop weaves back and forth between a solid bass foundation and a rapid-fire bass cannon with ease. A dub-inspired beat provides another solid backdrop for the ever-shifting musical elements.
The second drop is pretty much a 180-degree switch from the first. The tempo and bass are slowed down greatly, as the metaphorical lasers take over. A reverse spiral effect leads to a chanting vocal bridge with a solitary bass groove following their every move. Suddenly, the thick bass blasts out of orbit, flying into the vortex of space and leaving only trace lasers behind. The squealing guitars and glitchy bass effects fight for dominance, as the song fades out on a classic dub-inspired note. Stream above and save to your favorite playlist for a perfect poolside listening party.
