YetepFinally releasing their first-ever joint project, Zeds Dead and Flux Pavilion have joined forces alongside singer-songwriter DeathbyRomy for their latest release, “Waves.” Zeds Dead and Flux Pavilion are easily two of the greatest names in dubstep and bass music, making this a dream collaboration for many of us. “Waves” first premiered at Zeds Dead’s headline performance at Electric Forest last summer and has been a widely awaited ID for almost a year.
“Waves” captures all three of their signature tones in perfect synergy. The eerie vocals of DeathbyRomy set the stage for dreamy, synth-heavy soundscapes to emerge in the mix, which eventually surrenders to the growls of the buzzing bass drop. “Missing you comes in waves” echoes as DeathbyRomy closes the anthem with her strong alternative vocals.
Zeds Dead and Flux Pavilion have both tremendously helped shape the dubstep and bass music scene into what it is today, so it is heart-stirring to finally see their names next to one another. An insane collaboration that is set to bring wave after wave of nostalgia to festivals all across the globe this summer.
