Elevate Your Post-Concert Drive with These Playlist Picks

In addition to making sure you have blankets (if it’s cold), snacks, and water, make sure you have music ready for the drive home. Driving home from the concert should not be a quiet activity. Creating playlists specifically for the drive home can elevate the entire experience, and it is something I look forward to every time I am preparing to go to a show. While there are many ways you can take this, as music knows no boundaries, I wanted to share with you five of the songs that are always in my playlist for the drive home. Hopefully, you discover something new!

“So Long” by Slander, Juliana Chahayed

This song is one of Slander’s best, as well as one of their most underappreciated songs. This song is chill yet still has that future trap feel that Slander fans love. The melody during the drop is infectiously intricate and takes you on a journey, continuing the serotonin in your mind that you got from the show. If you haven’t heard this one, give it a listen ASAP!

“Trndsttr – Lucian Remix” by Black Coast, M. Maggie, Lucian

This song is a classic for my friends and me and is a future trap banger. This is a perfect song for the drive home because while it is incredibly well-produced and extremely stimulating to listen to, it is chill and perfect for just relaxing on the way home. This song makes use of future trap synths as the focal point of the melody and is truly a mind-bending song that deserves a listen!

“Some Minds” by Flume, Andrew Wyatt

Another chill song (see the pattern?), this is one of my favorite Flume songs and is incredible to listen to on the way home. This song is one of Flume’s older tracks, so it has that pop future bass hybrid feel, with incredible vocals to boot. The first drop is chill and vocal-heavy, but the second drop is amazing, with sharp notes creating a playful melody that will take you on a journey.

“Woke Up in Love” by Kygo, Gryffin, Calum Scott

This is one of my favorite songs to play in the car on the way home from a show because it gets the whole car singing. This collab is one of the best to have come out and is an extremely well-produced house song. Calum Scott has an incredible voice and is a perfect pairing to the house beats Kygo and Gryffin produce.

“Last to Leave” by Louis the Child, Caroline Ailin

The last song on this list is actually my favorite Louis the Child song. While I could have filled this list with just Louis the Child songs, this one stands out to me because of the vocals, which get the entire car singing. This is a future trap song on the chill side and is perfect for winding down on a car ride home, continuing the best night you have ever had.
