YetepTucson, this one’s for you. For one night only, we are bringing Shaq’s Bass All-Stars right to your front door. For those of you who are not familiar, Shaq is known across the world not only for his basketball prowess, but also as the “world’s biggest dubstep DJ.” Not only is this international sports superstar a NBA hall of famer and former Phoenix Sun player, but Shaq also makes some of the craziest dubstep you will ever hear. Shaq has continued to grow his brand and name through his business ventures and dubstep persona, DIESEL. Coming in at over 7 feet tall, there is no doubt that DIESEL is the “biggest” dubstep DJ on the planet. This may just seem like a play on words until you see the size of his hands and compare that to the intricate knobs and dials used to control the DJ boards. It is a miracle that he is able to operate the decks, but boy can Shaq throw down. If you have not had the chance, I highly recommend being at one of Shaq’s Bass All-Stars events where he is joined by a phenomenal lineup of the best and brightest up and coming dubstep DJs.
For fans of artists such as Excision, ATLiens, and Bear Grillz, Shaq’s energy and song selection will be a familiar combination of heavy drops. With his signature line, “Where’s my mosh pit,” Shaq is unmatched in his ability to get the crowd going. From Lost Lands to Tomorrowland, Diesel has played the biggest stages in the world. Initially getting into the hobby back in his basketball days by mixing with some of hip hop’s greatest, Shaq transitioned into dubstep as his kids got older and more interested in the music. When asked about why he continues, often without being paid, he says that he does it because it is the closest thing he can find to the energy during game 7 of the NBA Finals. Lucky for you, we are bringing one of these amazing shows right to your front yard. Throwing one of the biggest dubstep shows in Tucson, Shaq will be coming to the SlaughterHouse September 14th so get your tickets now before they are gone!
