ALLEYCVT Breaks The Sound Barrier With HEAVY New Release, ‘Feel It’

Los Angeles based Wub Master ALLEYCVT has been ON FIRE this year. Dropping banger after banger, touring internationally, and appearing on the lineups of countless major festivals. “Feel It” was teased earlier this week in an Instagram post, cutting off right before the drop. This genius marketing strategy heightened the anticipation and hype for the official release. The finished product is much more HEAVY than expected and ALLEYCVT’s signature melodic vocals add a beautiful sense of contrast to the track. “Feel It” freely hops between genres and eras like a cat on catnip. Mixing old school dubstep vibes with glistening modern production techniques. “Feel It” kicks off with a cerebral hum and an undercurrent of bass forming beneath the surface that is eager to break out. Spiraling vocals lead the listener into the first verse.

“Somethings taken over me. Nothing that I can’t explain, yeah yeah. Is it that I want it more? I’ll be waiting for the day again, and again, and again. AHHHHHHHH. Tell me what it means to be free uhh uhh. ‘Cause on the inside, I just want to feel everything, I WANT TO FEEL IT ALL!! Tell me can you feel it?!”

The lyrics are backed by a vibrant synth loop, choppy raindrops, and DEEP splashes of bass. The drums kick in around the 0:37 second mark as the vocals split off into stardust and the drums ramp up in intensity. A robotic vocal sample counts down to the drop with an effective “Tell me can you feel it?!?” ALLEYCVT then throws us an unexpected curveball. This is STILL the pre-drop. “YEAH!” Sharp WHOOSHES shuffle and roll before EXPLODING in volume. Headbanging ensues as the drop hits like a ton of bricks. ALLEYCVT’s patented buzzes, wonks, and wubs are back with a vengeance. Accompanied by ethereal clicks for balance (naturally!) The loop returns as ALLEYCVT belts “I want to feel it all.” The addictive loop makes a grand return. Now joined by subtle claps, kicks and more of her amazing vocals. The track does not let up for long before once again building to a drop. The second drop begins with an extended, webby riff before the drums smack the listener in the ear repeatedly. A ‘WAHHHH’ effect kicks off the second drop on a high note. This drop is ever-changing with ALLEYCVT giving it her all. The 2:06-2:31 time stamp is a brain-melting experience that has me at a loss for words. Something that I do not encounter often in my writing. ALLEYCVT is upping her game in all the right ways and continues to expand her range and capabilities. This rising star is on a path to the stratosphere and shows no signs of slowing down. “Feel It” has far exceeded expectations and is a monument to ALLEYCVT’s determination and work ethic.
