YetepOne of the most dynamic and unique artists from the UK, Mystic State is a beautiful mix of drum and bass and classic UK dubstep. The duo from Bristol has been one artist that has me particularly excited, as it feels like they are my perfect fusion of drum and bass and dubstep. Mystic State has produced music with Artikal before, notably the 2020 single, “Competition” with J.Kenzo. The duo has returned to Artikal for their newest EP, “Scimitar,” which released today!
Featuring the duo’s latest single, “Corridor,” as well as three new tracks and a “Corridor” vocal mix, the new EP has plenty for dubstep and drum and bass fans to enjoy. I like to think of Mystic State as one of the best examples of how dubstep and deep dub make some of the heaviest and soulful songs. I also see them as a great way to bridge between both genres. The way the deep bass lines combine with the drums reminiscent of any liquid drum and bass tune for a combination that is one of a kind. Similar to one of my personal favorite sets from Goldush, Alix Perez, Mystic State showcases an exciting and unique fusion between the genres.
