Goldrush Preview: Ganja White Night

Ganja White Night are tearing up the bass floor wherever they go, and in just a couple of weeks, they’ll make their landing at Relentless Beats’ latest Goldrush event. As one of my favorite artists of all time, their upcoming set is bound to be one for the ages. Their unwavering commitment to their sound has evolved as their skills and brand have grown into something much bigger than most ever anticipated. Their unique ability to craft gnarly dubstep while seamlessly innovating across genres—yet always maintaining their signature sound—paired with live sets where they manipulate tracks on the fly, is unmatched. Their performances, which I consider the “Broadway” equivalent of EDM, are an absolute must-see!

What makes Ganja White Night’s music so distinct is their deep, growling interpretation of dubstep. While they started out on the more chill side of bass music, their sound has since evolved into powerful, dynamic growls that tear into your soul as their basslines assault the senses. You can really hear this evolution in their track “Rollo,” where the deep growls of the first drop take you on a journey through space and time. Their latest album, Unity, is a true masterpiece, blending elements of DnB, dark melodic bass, and their signature style of dubstep. The album emphasizes their creativity, showcasing their cohesion with other artists through a collection of collaborations.

What truly elevates them to headliner status is the combination of their stellar music production and electrifying live performances. With most of their sets performed live, they are always a sight to behold. Their mixing skills and flow behind the decks are already impressive, but they take it a step further by editing their tracks in real time—creating moments you can only experience live.
