Soft Raving: How the Scene Is Making Space for Sensitivity
LSDREAM and CloZee have joined forces to create LSZEE, a separate project from the typical collab EPs or B2B performances, and they have completely changed the space bass game. Even though both artists already sit atop the genre, solidifying themselves as true headliners, they found a unique bond and teamed up to create brand-new music, pushing boundaries forward. They perfectly complement each other, and their album LSZEE truly showcases this, with each song being a journey of its own. From funky tracks like “French Dream” to emotionally driven songs like “Destiny,” the world is definitely better with this duo, and I’m excited to dive into why they complement each other so well.
You can immediately tell they have amazing chemistry and respect for each other, which obviously translates into their music. Creating music can be a deeply personal task, and they seem to bring out the best in each other when collaborating. What makes their partnership even more special is how their different styles blend so effortlessly within the same genre. LSDREAM is known for his funky approach to space bass, often supported by deep, gnarly dubstep notes, while CloZee masters the low-end bass realm, crafting atmospheres with creative, tribal-focused vocals. Together, these styles work incredibly well. A great example is “Wook Whistle,” which packs in incredible production with a slow, tribal whistle sound floating over a deeply funky bassline. There’s just something special about how their sounds merge. Another standout is “A.W.E.,” where a brain-tickling bassline blends perfectly with CloZee’s signature accents, sending listeners straight to another dimension.
There’s nothing like LSZEE. The album is amazing, their live performances are even more mind-blowing, and it all leaves the world craving more. They’ve cemented themselves as true headliners, and I fully expect to see them at more major festivals next summer.
