Grabbitz Releases ‘Hero Pt. II,’ Announces 2025 Album & Sullivan King Tour

On October 31st 2024, legendary DJ and genre-blender Grabbitz dropped a sequel to his beloved track “Hero” on his label, Blue Butterfly Records. “Hero Pt II” reflects a hero’s journey of perseverance, overcoming adversity, and breaking through challenges. Grabbitz’s captivating, rustic vocals and heartfelt lyrics bring a unique charm to the track. As a follow-up to his single “Hero” (with over 1 million streams), “Hero Pt II” continues the narrative and serves as an introduction to his forthcoming album, showcasing his iconic vocals and exceptional production. A music video accompanying the track will further immerse fans in the story behind the song. The video features a mix of live action shots of Grabbitz wearing a butterfly themed superhero outfit and surreal animated dream sequences. He is also seen training and getting curious (sometimes mocking) looks regarding his fashion choice. Epic battles ensue that you simply must see for yourself. The seven minute epic adds detail and canon to the track. A perfect companion piece for this outstanding release and the upcoming album.

“Hero Pt. II” begins with a gradual rumbling guitar riff and Grabbitz’s patented vocals and lyrics:

“Feel disconnected and it’s hard to accept it, but I still see light. All I know is the wreckage I’ve been trying to protect for nearly all of my life. And I can’t go back, rearrange my past. I can’t change what led me here. You cut through with a scream, I snap out of my dream. I’m immortal whenever you’re near.”

The guitar riff is joined by keyboard notes, throttling drums, and an under current of synth. The riff expands into a choppy drop, demonstrating Grabbitz’s ability to flawlessly mix the genres of rock and EDM. The drop bridges into the next verse, where Grabbitz also shows off his flowing skills. This verse is carried by the drums and keys, before dropping again. This second drop is more rock-focused, while still keeping the core elements of EDM. The track then goes silent for a brief period, before transforming into an opera-like masterpiece, complete with soaring vocals and sound elements. The riff lingers under the surface before the keys fully take over. Dropping a third time with the vocals firing on all cylinders. The track ends on a webby note, with an intricate blend of every sound element. Incredible!

“Hero Pt. II” expands on the themes of its predecessor and creates a saga within the Grabbitz universe. The drops in Pt. II sound similar enough to the original to be a sequel, but changes the elements enough to be a stand out track in its own right. Grabbitz keeps making magic and takes full advantage of the freedom that comes with owning his own record label. This platform also gives him the chance to recruit smaller artists into the fold and make their dreams come true; thus expanding his role from artist/producer to owner and mentor. Making a lasting imprint on the music and scene that Grabbitz is passionate about.
