2025 EDM Wishlist: Collabs, B2Bs, & Iconic Returns We’re Manifesting

One of the things I appreciate most about electronic music is its boundless creativity. Unlike traditional music genres, electronic artists aren’t confined to a single instrument or the sounds it can produce—they have the ability to create any sound imaginable. Additionally, because they’re often solo creators rather than part of a band, there’s a faster channel for collaboration, exploration, and innovation. This individuality has elevated the industry as a whole, and 2024 showcased some of the most creative artistry I’ve ever seen. Here are five never-before-seen ideas I hope become a reality in 2025!

Illenium b2b Seven Lions

How has this never happened before? Illenium and Seven Lions are, without a doubt, two of the biggest names in melodic EDM. A back-to-back set from these legends would be a dream come true, creating a euphoric paradise for fans. While they have collaborated in the past, their 2024 release of “Not Even Love” was a game-changer, garnering millions of views and topping charts worldwide. Their styles mesh seamlessly, with both artists boasting diverse discographies. Let’s hope this dream becomes a reality sooner rather than later!

Subtronics & Flume Collab

This might sound off the wall, but it’s not as far-fetched as it seems. While I haven’t found any direct comments from Flume about Subtronics, Subtronics has repeatedly expressed admiration for Flume’s work. Both are innovators in their own right—Flume bends minds with his trap/space bass hybrids, and Subtronics excels in his own brand of spacey, complex bass. A collaboration between these two would truly warp our minds and set new standards for creativity in EDM.

Levity b2b Tape B

Levity and Tape B had incredible years in 2024, continuing the momentum they’ve built through sold-out tours and massive festival performances. Both have cultivated dedicated fan bases by pushing creativity within the bass genre, particularly with elongated space bass dubstep infused with their unique styles. A back-to-back set would be a match made in bass heaven, seamlessly blending their sounds into a world of bliss for bass lovers while introducing each artist to the other’s fans.

Louis the Child & Knock2 Collab

This would be a house music fan’s ultimate dream collaboration. Knock2 has steadily risen through the ranks with powerful chord progressions and bass-heavy house tracks, and 2025 is poised to be a massive year for him. Meanwhile, Louis the Child continues to top charts with their future bass-infused house bangers, combining incredible melodies and impeccable production. The creative synergy between these two would result in melodies and chord progressions that could redefine house music.

GRiZ Returning

Last but not least, my ultimate wish is for GRiZ to make his triumphant return. However, my biggest hope is for him to take all the time he needs to heal and recharge. Behind the scenes, GRiZ has been working on new music, debuting unreleased tracks at Burning Man and teasing collaborations with Grabbitz and Wooli. While we wait patiently, we know he’s hopefully living his best life. Long live the king. Show love, spread love.

2025 holds so much potential, and these ideas are just a glimpse of what could make it an unforgettable year for electronic music. Let’s keep dreaming, supporting, and celebrating the boundless creativity of our favorite artists. Here’s to a year of innovation, collaboration, and incredible music!
