Under The Radar: LSDREAM & Effin’s ‘Dizzy Spell’

in 2024, wub titans LSDREAM and CloZee formed a collaborative project known as LSZEE and dropped a self-titled album in September of the same year. A remix album dropped earlier this month on April 4th, showing that this Bass Music alliance is here to stay.

On March 7th, 2025, LSZEE expanded their range by creating a compilation album titled LSZEE Presents: Synergy, released through Odyzey Music. This star-studded album features artists like Maddy O’Neal and Zingara, among others. Chief collaborator LSDREAM makes an appearance on the opening track “Dizzy Spell,” a joint effort with iconic producer Effin.

I am a fan of both of these producers and had no idea that this collaboration (and album) came out until now. I cannot believe it took me this long to hear this incredible collaboration. This event is the inspiration behind a new article series titled, Under The Radar. A place to share incredible deep cuts that took a little longer to find.

“Dizzy Spell” begins with a Reggae inspired Dub beat and a humming current of bass. Frequencies bend and flow at will, with a guitar snap bringing in the other track elements. LSDREAM’s patented plampy drums and intergalactic bubbles dance with Effin’s soulful sample use and jazz-inspired genre twist.

“OH BABY! YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHING YET! Baby.. PUTTIN IT DOWN!”

Sweeping wubs crash in from all sides during the first drop. Twisting and rolling like an outer space snake. The first drop ends, welcoming in a bridge with heavy-hitting drums, a haze of bass, and jazzy undertones. A wormhole opens as the beat rapidly ascends the listener towards it. Launching them out of a starry tunnel into a new dimension. The second drop is very different than the first. Inter-spliced with lasers, slower drums, and ectoplasmic wubs. This one is also extended, having a few distinct bends and warps to separate drop sections. The bubbles take over again as the instrumentals wind down. Effin’s indie jazz vibe is present till the end, as the track fades out LSDREAM style.

“Dizzy Spell” perfectly lives up to its name and the reputations of both collaborators. LSDREAM and Effin are both MASSIVE players in the EDM scene. Their different styles blend together perfectly. Effin’s melodic undertones give LSDREAM a place for his imagination to run wild, while still keeping the track grounded. This epic collaboration is a perfect introduction to both LSDREAM and Effin, while also appealing to longtime fans of both artists. Enjoy this wonky wonderland that was once, Under The Radar.
