YetepWhen artists are releasing music, it is very rare that you get back to back albums. If you do, it is usually at least a month apart to let fans get a grasp of the initial release and build hype for the second album. Not Svdden Death and his darker alter ego, VOYD. Voyd Vol. II, which released in 2022 quickly became one of the most recognizable dubstep albums of the decade. With colossal hits such as “Maze of Punishment” and “Shallow Land Burial,” Voyd Vol. II became an overnight classic. As with his first VOYD album, fans have known since the beginning of the year that the Voyd Vol. II remixes were coming. What fans could not expect came to fruition this week.
With the release of Voyd Vol. 2.5, or the remix album of Voyd Vol. II, fans were treated to a handful of new singles from VOYD along with a collection of remixes from the best in the dubstep and riddim genre. After massive speculation over the prior few months, it felt like a release as we finally got new VOYD music. What fans could have never called was that this album would not just be a single release, but that there would be a Voyd Vol. 2.5 (Part II) which would release a week later. This has been an extremely welcome surprise for fans, as Voyd Vol. 2.5 (Part II) is in no way any less than the initial release a week prior. Voyd Vol. 2.5 (Part II) also has some new VOYD singles which fans have been begging for, some for over three years. There are too many new heaters on this album to even call out. Just go and give both of these masterpieces, Voyd Vol. 2.5 and Voyd Vol. 2.5 (Part II) a listen and let us know which you think has more heavy hitters.
