YetepDubstep dons, Truth, have been making waves in the deep dubstep community for years. From pioneering the sound with others back in in the early 2010s to pushing the sound with their tastemaking Deep, Dark, and Dangerous record label, Truth have cemented themselves at the forefront of 140 dubstep. For those who were in attendance at Zeds Dead’s RSIH album tour this summer, you will know the weight of the deep bass that Truth brings to every one of their releases. There is something special and unique about the kings of dubstep and their ability to make the whole room shake. Their newest release, a four-single EP named after Arizona’s beautiful Sedona is no exception.
The EP begins with a collaboration with Eklipse on the vocals of “Zoot.” A true banger with classic UK vocals, this tune sets the tone for the rest of the EP that follows. From there, Truth dives deeper into the abyss with “Sedona” and “Frequencies.” These tunes are meant to emulate the mysterious and magical place that is Sedona, that many Phoenicians have explored and cherish. “Frequencies” leans heavily on its catchy and wavy drum line that is accompanied by deep bass which massages your mind. To close out this four-song EP, Truth have finally given the fans what they have been asking for for years. “Nobody” has been a staple of Truth sets for some time now, with fans waiting somewhat impatiently for the duo to drop this instant classic. Now that it is here, dubstep and bass fans are not going to want to miss out on this deep and dark EP. Be sure to check it out now and come back every week for more of the most fresh and banging releases.
