Yetep“Dingus” features some incredible talent. A triple threat of three of the biggest DJs in the scene right now: Wooli, Subtronics, and Level Up! A production line up this stacked is sure to create a massive and EPIC track. That being said, “Dingus” does not disappoint. The track features hilarious and well-placed samples and clear calling cards from every artist involved. Iconic avatars of the artists can be seen on the single’s cover art, adding even more of a personal touch to this BOP.
“Dingus” begins with intergalactic bubbles/spirals and fist-pumping kicks and bass. Waves of melody chop up track sections while the hilarious samples take hold. These samples use the word “dingus” several times, causing a chuckle in the listener. Skrillex even gets a humorous name drop.
The first drop hits after these samples, featuring several layers of wubs, YUHHHS and bass. “Dingus” takes a melodic and scenic journey through the stars between drops, with heavy drum hits leading into the next drop. This choppy drop slows things down a bit, taking on a half tempo groove between wubs and YUHHS. Thick, glitchy bass waves reverberate off of a dubstep beat. The drop takes a brief whistling break before taking over right where it left off. We hardly get a break before “Dingus” seamlessly builds into ANOTHER drop, launching us further into orbit. Heavy, rolling buzzes take over and flow into one last section of wonks.
“Take it from me, I’m a doctor… DOCTOR DINGUS!”
“Dingus” is a monumental collaboration with three of the biggest heavy-hitters in the scene joining forces. “Dingus” features the dark edge of Level Up, the melodies of Wooli, and Subtronics complex, multilayered production style. This creates a HEAVY and memorable track that is definitely a 2025 highlight. “We are all dingus” indeed.
