YetepMusic videos have just entered a new era. Dance music all-stars Dimitri Vegas and David Guetta have teamed up with Eurovision icon Loreen and Hollywood filmmaker Ruairí Robinson to release “Pum Pum,” a high-concept visual experience that feels more like a blockbuster sci-fi film than a traditional music video. This ambitious project fully merges the energy of a festival anthem with the emotional depth and scale of a Hollywood tier movie. You can watch the full video HERE.
Set within the ruins of a collapsing futuristic city, the narrative follows Loreen as an android on the run, grappling with her own transformation while being pursued through chaotic, fiery landscapes. Dimitri Vegas and David Guetta are woven into the story as twin antagonistic forces, leading to a climactic confrontation that blends explosive action with raw performance. The result is a stunning piece that pushes the boundaries of what a music video can be.
The creative vision came from a place of pure, inspired nostalgia. Director Ruairí Robinson describes chasing the pulse he felt watching classics like Akira and Mad Max as a kid, aiming to create “a movie for my boyhood self.” Executive producer Neill Blomkamp sees this as a groundbreaking shift, stating, “Artists like Dimitri are opening a new space where storytelling, music, and visual innovation collide.”
Released earlier this year on Smash The House, the track itself has already surpassed 10 million streams. “Pum Pum” is no doubt, a bold statement, it’s a glimpse into the future of musical storytelling, where the drop is just the beginning of the journey.
