YetepHouse music wizard OMRI. is still riding high after an incredible set at Decadence: The Portal of I11usions. This unforgettable Night One set was my first stop and the perfect festival kick off. He exceeded expectations and had me in awe for the entirety of his two hour slot time. OMRI. has quickly become one of my favorite House-based artists, with growing anticipation between sets and releases.
OMRI. is back at it again with another batch of epic songs. This time around, he dropped a three-pack of singles under the name House Revolution. The three songs include the title track, “Rhythm of the Loner” and “Louder.” The title track features a wobbling groove, splashy basslines, and vibey keyboards. Chanting samples dance along with the elements over a varied drumbeat. “House Revolution” rides an intergalactic groove that takes listeners through an asteroid belt and back again.
“Rhythm of the Loner” begins with choppy guitar-like sound elements that evolve into a beat with majestic melodies and reverberating samples. Sounds materialize and reappear, creating a mesmerizing trip. Crystalline walls form around the keys, while fist pumping kicks shatter through them. The track rides a pleasant scale of sound and features experimental vocal distortions.
“Louder” gets going right out of the gate with no hesitation. The track features buzzes, rapidly shifting melodies, and bass that shifts from THICK walls to wobbling grooves. The “Let The Bass Be Louder” samples help the song live up to its name even further. Sounds shatter and rain down, only to rise again like a cybernetic phoenix. The finger wagging beat never looses its groove and meshes well with the shifting vibes. “Louder” features some of my favorite moments from the EP and will definitely be in my Repeat playlist for the week. Listen now to hear a vibey house EP from a legendary producer.
