YetepFor this week’s RB Deep in the Mix, we are diving headfirst into a sea of funky fresh house music. J. Worra has taken the industry by storm with her tantalizing and mesmerizing beats. The green-eyed goddess of house is no newcomer to the scene either. Influenced by the likes of Green Velvet and Chris Lake, Worra began making music in 2011 and has since blown up to become a force to be reckoned with. J. Worra has played festivals all over the country like Lightning in a Bottle, Spring Awakening festival, and the prestigious Dirtybird Campout. Her latest achievement is gaining a residency at the world famous Mid nightclub in Chicago.
Today, we are taking a look at a set she dropped at this year’s Dirtybird Campout West.
At just over an hour long, this set takes listeners to another level. Her set manages to be repetitive yet diverse, maintaining a solid bassline while still getting creative with all the bumps, whirs, and claps in between. The best part of this set is that most of these tracks are original, unreleased ID’s from J. Worra herself. The Chicago based DJ and producer proved in this set that she’s on her way to the top of the house industry.
Don’t miss J. Worra when she takes over Shady Park with Destructo on February 9th. Grab tickets here.
