This year’s Crush Arizona will be something special. Not only will the talent melt your heart, but we’ve added a second day for the first time in the event’s history. Double the days, double the lineup.. we’re feeling all the love. Get to know the Crush AZ lineup below!

DAY 1, February 15th

Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, has always been driven to transcend musical boundaries to satisfy his creative vision. He first caught the attention of the music world after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep-infused version of Above & Beyond’s “You Got to Go.” Putting technical production skill to work in soulful, deep, hybridized creations distinctly his own, the multi-talented musician bridges the gap between the soaring, ethereal vibe of trance and intensely adrenalizing bass music. Not content to simply alter the soundscapes that people will associate with EDM, Seven Lions has also begun to rearrange the way tracks are released and grouped, forgoing the typical “track by track” scheme for a more thematic EP format. If we had to choose only one thing we love about Seven Lions, it would have to be his versatility (although, really – who can choose only one?). The California-born producer covers everything from dubstep to trance, making his music appealing to just about everyone.

Over the last five years, Slander has climbed the ranks from local DJs to EDM megastars. They’ve played some of the biggest stages in the world, sold out tours, and garnered millions of plays on their social medias. Everything they release becomes a hit. There is something so distinct and pure about their sound–it’s infectious! Through their meticulous blend of emotional lyricism and savage drops, Derek and Scott have built a passionate family of fans along their evolution to the status of festival legends. The diversity throughout their discography allows them to produce without boundaries and has led to a massive, dedicated fan base. 2018 was a huge year for the duo. They released The Headbangers Ball EP and a slew of singles with the likes of Seven Lions, RIOT, Spag Heddy, Sullivan King, and even Asking Alexandria. 2019 will be another huge year for these guys!

Over the past few years, JOYRYDE, born Jonney Ford, has risen from complete unknown to one of the most buzzing acts in the industry. With support from the likes of Axwell^Ingrosso, DJ Snake, Skrillex, Major Lazer, Tchami, Martin Garrix, Dillon Francis, and more, the highway to success is paved with bass. JOYRYDE’s brand of #SwerveHouse is firmly expressed through his massive singles and hard-hitting beats. He’s one of those rare artists that goes against the grain but keeps it cool, strives to be different but stays true to his artistry, sounds old school and new school at the same time. JOYRYDE has crafted an entire RYDER cult, surrounded by a unique musical attitude, re-imagined car imagery and A-list support.

After gaining recognition from artists like Skrillex, Excision, Skism, Must Die!, Cookie Monsta and Seven Lions, Mischa Reining, better known by his mouth-watering stage name Spag Heddy, needs no introduction. The wonky bass producer has been perfecting his recipe for delicious bass since 2011, and at this point, he’s one of the most popular producers on the dubstep menu. Heddy has seen official releases and remixes on labels such as Firepower, NSD Black Label, Rottun, Play Me, Monstercat and Disciple. His sound resonates with all who fancy themselves lovers of things “not soft.” SPAG has a large dedicated fanbase and now, after multiple top charting Beatport hits, tens of millions of online plays, numerous shows in nearly all continents, including his own tour in Australia, he’s aiming for the biggest and best; expect tons of new ferocious, melodic and neck breaking anthems to come. 2019 is the year of SPAG!

Wuki is the genre-blending solo project of Denver-based producer Kris Barman. Influenced by the sounds of Detroit ghettotech and Chicago footwork scenes, Barman’s ability to seamlessly mix booty, breaks, electro, and house into hard-hitting club-shakers has become a trademark of the Wuki sound. Over the last few years, he’s developed a signature blend of crisp, heavy-hitting club sounds which seamlessly blends house, booty bass, and ghetto-tech party vibes. He’s an innovative producer we’re always stoked to hear new music from. The Mile High City resident has earned releases and remixes for notable imprints such as OWSLA, Main Course, Fool’s Gold, and Ultra, not to mention support from the likes of Knife Party, Skrillex, and Rolling Stone Magazine.

Kaivon, a newcomer to the industry who has already made quite a name for himself. Kaivon’s tracks on platforms like Spotify and Soundcloud have collectively reached over 6 million streams. Kaivon became inspired to start making electronic music after attending Coachella 2014, which featured artists like Zedd, Chromeo, and Martin Garrix. Determined to play on the same stages that once inspired him, Kaivon began to pursue the road less traveled and began producing. His style of music is influenced by artists like RL Grime and Skrillex. Tracks like “Reborn” and “Let Me Go” are melodic yet powerful future bass bangers that are sure to get listeners feeling emotional. Each one of his songs has a completely different feel, but they are all imaginative nevertheless.

BARDZ is the passion project of Southern California native Tyler Bardzilowksi. Influenced by the likes of Pink Floyd, Odesza and the Glitch Mob, BARDZ is a unique blend of emotive texture and driven melodies. BARDZ has shared the stage with Deadmau5, Marshmello, Skrillex, and Illenium to name a few. More huge name will be added to that list when he takes the stage at Crush AZ next month.

Day 2, February 16th

Alessandro ‘Alesso’ Lindblad, hailing from Stockholm, Sweden is an industry legend. He started playing piano at age 7, but became interested in Electronic Dance Music when he was 16. He first gained recognition with the release of his Alesso EP in 2010. In early 2011, Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia contacted Alesso and asked if he wanted to work together. Ingrosso introduced him to DJing and helped him with the production of tracks. Despite having learned to DJ in 2011, Alesso made his debut on DJ Magazine’s list of the top 100 DJs at number 70 in that same year. By 2013, Alesso had played at music festivals like Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival, and Tomorrowland. He released a remix of “If I Lose Myself” by OneRepublic that was nominated for Grammy and garnered almost a million listens on SoundCloud in a relatively short time. The last five years since have seen Alesso continue to flourish. 2018, in particular, was a great one for the producer, as he went on his European Tour, highlighted by his closing performance at the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, released a handful on singles that debuted in major ways, and continued to captivate fans across the globe.

3LAU is more than just a DJ. He’s a multi-instrumentalist, an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and an innovative and unconventional electronic dance music producer. Born Justin Blau (hence the backward “b” in his stage name), the artist got his start with piano lessons at the ripe age of three. His taste in music shifted around high school from classical toward the likes of Radiohead and Sigur Ros. He learned to play the guitar, bass, and drums, and ultimately took a trip to Sweden, which inspired his career in dance music production. Since then he’s dominated the industry with his sound. Just last year he released his 11-track album Ultraviolet, and earlier this month he released an emotive single “Would You Understand” that has us all extra excited for his upcoming set.

Black Tiger Sex Machine is a trio of electronic music producers from Montreal, Canada. Known for their heavy electro sound and post-apocalyptic visuals, they’ve quickly amassed a rabid fanbase since bursting onto the scene in 2012. Drawing from diverse influences ranging from old-school techno to classic rock to 90s boom bap hip-hop, they’ve maintained an intense production schedule over the last two years, releasing three EPs and an innumerable amount of remixes, collaborations, and free singles that have drawn widespread acclaim. Along the way, Black Tiger Sex Machine has built a reputation as one of the best live acts around. They perform unique live sets, in which they combine tracks, loops, drums, samples and synths into an intense barrage of sounds and beats, all while wearing their iconic Tiger Helmets. Having already accomplished so much in so little time, BTSM shows no signs of slowing down their frenetic pace. They play some of the top gigs in the world, as well as tour internationally. With a career that is rapidly taking off, Black Tiger Sex Machine is truly staking their claim as one of the most promising acts in electronic music.

Hailing from Sydney, Anna Lunoe continuously breaks boundaries as a DJ, radio host, producer, vocalist, and curator in the dance scene. Anna quickly rose to prominence on the airwaves with her track selections and charismatic presence and she soon emerged as one of the best DJ’s amidst Australia’s burgeoning dance scene. In 2012 Anna made the move to Los Angeles to continue to build her career. She released her debut Anna Lunoe & Friends EP and established herself as a skillful DJ and producer. From there she bounced from one forward-thinking club banger to the next releasing on Fools Gold, Mad Decent, OWSLA, Ultra, and Spinnin’ while simultaneously becoming a crowd favorite in the USA live circuit, appearing at festivals throughout the US including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Electric Forest, and EDC Las Vegas, where she was the first solo female act to play the main stage. 2019 shows no signs of slowing down for Anna as she goes into the year with a slew of new music up her sleeve, continuing her hosting duties on Beats1 weekly show Dance Chart, expanding her curation hub HYPERHOUSE, and anticipating a packed year of festival bookings around the world. There is no one in the game quite like Anna Lunoe.

Although his cheeky bio says he’s based in Antarctica, Wooli, the DJ with a behemoth talent for creating dubstep, hails from New York. In a short time, Wooli has gained support from the top artists and writers in the industry. With successful releases and premieres under imprints such as Owsla’s NESTHQ and Mad Decent’s Good Enough, Wooli has proved his productions are worthy to take note of.  Adam’s refreshing take on bass music has captivated music lovers across multiple genres. Blending together melodic future bass and hard-hitting dubstep, Wooli creates a unique live experience that you do not want to miss.

Ben and Dylan are two up and coming producers who together have created a brand, sound, and name that is nothing short of unconventional. Driven by the all-encompassing desire to not give a f*ck, the two have created “something out of nothing” and that something is music like we have never heard before. Its wavy, it’s wonky, it’s futuristic, it’s what I imagine an alien boiler room party would sound like. As graduates from the prestigious Icon Collective Music School and masters of weirdness, Ben and Dylan are fast-tracked to be top-of-the-mind producers and pioneers of the egoless productions. One vast differentiator we see in UM.. is their commitment to leaving their ego at the door and entering the studio as two pure souls who keep it true to their personality and vision.

Emily Fromm, better known as Blossom, is a Phoenix native on her way to global success. This bubbly, pink-haired beauty is equal parts passion and skill, and her energy behind the decks is captivating. In the Summer of 2015, Blossom attended a three-month beginner’s program at Dubspot in Los Angeles. Shortly after she submitted a DJ mix for our very own Global Dance Festival Arizona. She released her first track, a massive remix of Goldlink’s “Spectrum,” in 2016 and received major support from Dr. Fresch, SayMyName, Two Owls, and more. Blossom has gone on to play a number of local festivals including Global Dance Festival, Phoenix Lights, Decadence, and Wet Electric, and has shared the stage with Slushii, AC Slater, Kill The Noise, Deorro, and Steve Aoki, just to name a few. 2018 has been a huge year for Fromm. She was featured on Night Bass Freshmen Vol. 1 with her single “Go,” and just collaborated on a hot track with BIJOU that’s featured on his Super Phat EP. Rumor has it this bass boss is currently working on her highly-anticipated debut EP.
