Yetep36-year-old Wolfgang Gartner has been manufacturing state-of-the-art translucent electro-house for over a decade. He’s collaborated with Deadmau5 on numerous occasions and even worked with Skrillex on “The Devils Den” off of his highly-praised Bangarang EP. Wolfgang Gartner can’t be classified by any single genre, instead, he covers all the bases, able to transition the wobbliest bass drop into a light, colorful progressive house melody.
The California based artist just dropped his latest banger “Ectoplasm” and this track takes a ride on the spooky side of dance music. The track opens up with bars of haunting organ noises and ghostly wooshes similar to noises you’d hear in a horror movie. The “Ectoplasm” really starts spreading during the drop and breaks though. Listeners are blasted with an old-school dubstep drop that is comparable to the UFK days of Flux Pavilion. “Ectoplasm” sounds so different from other releases from Wolfgang Gartner, it’s mesmerizing synths and chords are crisp and refreshing.
Wolfgang Gartner is stopping by El Hefe on March 28th for a FREE SHOW, so you have no excuse not to be there! Tickets are at the door first come first serve.
