YetepHollywood-based, British artist Gareth Emery makes his decade debut with a track so smooth and airy “You Are” going to fall in love. Working with pop singer Emily Vaughn this self-release marks the beginning of his 4th studio album set to release sometime in 2020. Hints of his new album reveal a return to his pre-electronic music days with one vocalist and entirely handwritten songs by Emery himself. The trance icon already has three albums under his belt, Northern Lights, Drive, and 100 Reasons to Live, all of which have grasped onto fans and ceaselessly sent listeners into emotional states ready for romance, passion, and sometimes even heartbreak. “You Are” is the first album release since 2016, and if you’re anything like us, new music from Gareth Emery was definitely needed, so check it out below.
The track echoes anticipated elation, full of Vaughn’s stunning vocals and Emery’s whimsical ability to transform simple synths into ethereal masterpieces. “You Are” is a powerful escape of instrumentals and rhythmic melody that glitters and reverberates in the only way trance can. “You Are” begs you to grab your person and sway slowly together.
Emery tweeted of the upcoming album saying, “It’s the most difficult thing I’ve ever done.” And if “You Are” is any indication of what’s to come from Emery, and possibly Vaughn, on the final production, then we have a lot to look forward to!
But before we can rush into an exciting new project from one of the most brilliant artists in the scene, fans get to look back at the previous ten years during Gareth Emery’s Decade Tour. Taking all the classic hits from 2010-2020, he’s putting on a performance we’ll never forget. Emery is throwin’ it back one more time to remind us where it all started and pave way for this now anticipated album. On April 10th at Sunbar Tempe, see Emery transform the atmosphere into a nostalgic, trance-induced state. Click here for tickets.
