Jono Grant & Darren Tate Announce New Project with Debut Single

​​Meet JODA, the latest project from Above & Beyond member Jono Grant and classically trained musician, songwriter, producer, and hitmaker, Darren Tate. Having successful careers that span decades and a couple previous collaborations (“Let The Light Shine In” and “Nocturnal Creatures”), this official pairing should have dance music fans, Anjuna fam specifically, excited!

In 2019 Tate returned to his trance roots and signed to Anjunabeats. Around the same time, Above & Beyond began scoring the environmental documentary, ‘The Last Glaciers’, something Darren have extensive experience in. Through this work together JODA was born, and now we have their first single, “We Find Ourselves.”

Grant said, “Darren had the idea of using the ARP Odyssey for the bass sound, and it sounds very retro. We were listening to stuff like the Drive soundtrack by Kavinsky. So the tempo of the track actually comes from that style of music. We wouldn’t have ended up at 110 BPM if it wasn’t for listening to that kind of music.”
