YetepA darling of modern-day disco, it’s no secret that SG Lewis is influenced by the euphoric energy and retro sounds of of the past; his fresh and funky discography captures his passion and admiration for the musical era that arose in the 70s and 80s. Following the release of his debut album times in 2021, the London-based producer and DJ has maintained a full itinerary circulating clubs and festivals, all the while crafting a new era of music in the studio. Finally ready to reveal his new project, Lewis made his grand return with a pair of new singles. “Missing You” and “Something About Your Love” are an introduction to the two new worlds of music the artist has been building in the studio for the last year and a half.
Check out “Missing You” and “Something About Your Love” below!
With its shimmering synths and galvanizing bassline, “Missing You” is an adrenaline spike felt in the heat of the moment, in-between packed bodies and under neon lights. It captures the tantalizing glimpse of newfound freedom and the shifting desires of a night that is still young. Overflowing with 70’s-era drums and keys, “Something About Your Love” brings the night to a close in a disco dream, taking you to cloud nine. “Something About Your Love” feels like the cool breeze that caresses your cheek in the early hours of the morning, when the sun is peaking over the horizon.
Not only is SG Lewis back with new music, he’s also back on tour! He’ll be bringing the disco back to Sunbar in Tempe, on November 1st. You can get your tickets here.
