YetepSteve Aoki keeps his “always on tour” mantra alive with the announcement of his fall “Aokify America Tour” featuring bass legend Borgore and hip-hop heavyweight Waka Flocka Flame as direct support with special guest Pharrell Williams appearing on select dates. Presented by Dim Mak, the North American tour will travel across major venues and amphitheaters throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Pier 94 in NYC, the massive Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, and more.
Aoki continues to lead the worlds of electronic and independent music with a barrage of hit original singles and remixes, including his most recent releases “Boneless,” a collaboration with Chris Lake and Tujamo currently sitting at #1 on Beatport.
Last year, Aoki launched his biggest and most successful tour to date with the “Deadmeat Tour” celebrating the release of his Wonderland, which later featured the corresponding remix album Wonderland Remixed. The “Deadmeat Tour” spearheaded the 300+ tour dates Aoki completed in 2012 alone and included an electrifying full visual production featuring the infamous, life-sized AOKI LED letters.
“I literally spend the majority my life flying from show to show, but last year’s “Deadmeat Tour” opened my eyes to the level of performance and production I can achieve with a traditional bus tour,” says Aoki. “So when it came to planning a new tour for 2013, coming off the biggest year of my career, I knew I wanted to up the ante on every level. With Aokify America, we’ve increased the production, gone into some of the best and largest venues, and brought along an amazing lineup including two of the hottest artists in their genres, Borgore and Waka Flocka Flame. And of course with the year Pharrell is having, hearing he was able to jump on some of the shows was an honor all its own.”
Tour dates include:
10/4 – Chicago, IL at UIC Pavilion with Pharrell Williams
10/13 – Austin, TX at Austin Music Hall
10/14 – Dallas, TX at South Side Ballroom
10/15 – Corpus Christi, TX at Concrete Street Amphitheater
10/16 – Houston, TX at Bayou Music Center
10/18 – Miami Beach, FL at LIV Night Club
10/19 – Tampa, FL at Raymond James St.
