Exploring OMNOM’s Pokémon Reminiscent Single, ‘Lavender Town’

OMNOM is off to a hot start in 2026 having played in seven different cities already amidst his Pokémon inspired release “Lavender Town.” The house centric DJ/producer continues to push the boundaries of the darker side of tech house with this simple yet bouncy sample from Pokémon’s Lavender Town Theme. The sample invokes nostalgic feelings of eeriness and an overall haunted vibe as Lavender Town is known for it’s Ghost-type Pokémon and ominous tower serving as a burial site for deceased Pokémon. OMNOM capitalizes on all these feelings as he crafts this song with a melodic twist of the Lavender Town Theme Sample complimented by a nice rolling bassline. This creative blend of sounds takes me back to a simpler digital era while simultaneously stepping into a dark groove perfect for any tech house mix.
