Face The Bass Ft. Prince Fox Mix, ILLcasso’s “Codename X” Remix, and Kayzo’s Doghouse

Here at Face The Bass we don’t discriminate. We really just enjoy good music that bumps and makes our head sway back and forth. This week of FTB is dedicated to both sides of the spectrum, some beautiful future pop by Prince Fox, the thickest dubstep remix by ILLcasso, and were throwing in Kayzo’s new ‘DOGHOUSE’ EP for good measure as he’ll be crushing Monarch Theatre April 23rd with San Holo, you know a little something for everyone.

Mixing It Up

Prince Fox, a name that dances around royalty and elegance. That is exactly how smooth and seamless his music sounds. The Prince, or Sam Lassner, is a New York Native who has built his clean sound from the ground up. Taking after more “Traditional” sounds and ways of creating songs, whilst blending in more modern sounds have created an infectious sound we can’t get enough of. Signed by CasaBlanca and Republic Records Prince Fox has paved a nice path for his future in music. This month Dancing Astronaut’s Axis mix featured Prince Fox and its outstanding. Its one of those mixes you always go back to when you want something good to listen too. This mix has it all, ID tracks, new remixes, classics and its all tied together so easily. Here it is:

Weekly Jam

Now that we got that out of our system, its time to unleash the beast with one of the nastiest remixes your ears have the pleasure of being torn apart by. ILLcasso the local Phoenix based Bass music duo has bestowed upon us a free download of their recently released remix of “Codename X” by Excision. Having a heavy slew of remixes of the song already, ILLcasso brings the heaviest side of things to date with an explosive dubstep mix. Make sure to download this gem!

Putting the Artist on the Pedestal

Kayzo. A local hero it seems like now a days. Getting on any Facebook page, Forum, etc. in Arizona and there is nothing but love for the Los Angeles neighbor Hayden Capuozzo. Kayzo is synonymous with high impact creativity, and his latest venture does not disappoint. ‘THE DOGHOUSE’ EP is a collection of genre busting tracks that push the party to a more intense avenue. The intro song “Welcome To The Doghouse” is a solid preamble for the entire EP, its loud and fast, just how we like it at Face The Bass. Leaning more into the Hardstyle realm, the EP has flairs of many different genres; the track ‘Dogs’ being one of them, teaming up with rapper and close friend Sam King once again, mixing Hip-Hop artist to bring you terrifying bass anthem. You’re in luck! Kayzo and San Holo play @ Monarch Theatre on April 23rd. Every Kayzo show is packed with a good time, and amazing music. Make it out and support.
