The Relentless Beat of the Week: Deadmau5 – “Snowcone”

Deadmau5 has not had the best month. Having experienced a producer’s worst nightmare when his Soundcloud was hacked and and flooded with the tracks of Selena Gomez, Martin Garrix, and other producers who the Joel Zimmerman has openly criticized. However, it did not stop there as Deadmau5 brushed off the prank as an immature joke, the hackers, known as OurMine, attempted to leak all of the Mau5’s personal information. Thankfully, this info was inaccurate, and Zimmerman’s account has been restored.

Yet, as we move into the new month, it would seem that Deamau5 is back on his game. Today the track “Snowcone” popped up on Spotify and is Zimmerman’s first official release since 2014 after the release of his album while (1>2). With that said, this week’s Relentless Beat of the Week goes out to the master of progressive melodies brand new song!

The Mau5 has been teasing his Project Entropy for quite some time now, and while we do not know exactly what it is that he is teasing, we are all certainly hoping for a new album to follow in the next year. This track was originally dropped on Soundcloud last April, but has since been remastered and formed into something much more provoking.

As we all eagerly await a Deadmua5 performance here in Arizona, stay on your toes and keep your ears pealed for more news of Deadmau5’s Project Entropy, more official releases, and hopefully a new album in 2016!
