YetepFor those of you who don’t know him, Cormac is a local DJ and producer who has been busting his tail off for the past couple of years to bring us some of the best house music we will see from a young stud. The kid just turned 21 and already he’s got a myriad of great productions under his belt to show people. House music is his domain, but his sound is much more funky than you could ever imagine. His house beats will make you get up out of your chair, stand up and dance in a matter of seconds.

His latest track that he just put out is a remix of Y2K and Lil Aaron’s “Damn” who are also phoenix-based producers as well. Originally the track is a chill trap song, providing a laid back atmosphere. Cormac does a great job at capturing the essence of the original track but at the same time adding in his own funky house beats to create a more upbeat version of the original. Check out the track below and listen to yourself!
Immediately starting with a four on the floor the song provides the groovy, funk energy to get you started on your feet. An electronic keyboard dances over the beginning with a smooth melody and you get the same laid back atmosphere as the original version, but soon the song builds up a little and in come the boomy 808s to really capture the original producers sound. Vocals take over from this point and bring you all the way to the drop where Cormac unleashes his completely unique sound indifferent to anyone else we can spot right now. It’s almost a guarantee that you’ll want to get up and shuffle the night away to this track.
Overall, the track is a solid production and you’ll have to keep your eyes on this guy because he is definitely going to be up and coming in the next years to come. Be sure to follow all of his social media accounts and stay in touch with him!
