YetepOnce upon a time, many moons ago, Porter Robinson dabbled in dubstep and created one of the most iconic albums in the game. “Spitfire” is not iconic because it’s a masterpiece and it’s not iconic because it was the first release on Skrillex’s label, Owlsa (which are both true), it’s iconic simply because it’s Porters.
The year is 2011 and dubstep is in it’s prime. In comes newbie on the decks, 19-year-old Porter fricken Roninson and he steals the show and probably your girl. “Spitfire” topped charts and turned heads all over the world and if you give it a listen, you’ll understand why. The energy, the progressions, the samples, the bass-face provoking filth, this collection of music is timeless. I think it’s time we all take a break from Worlds and feel the fire with Porter Robinson’s Spitfire.
