YetepDMVU, a DJ fresh out of Colorado, is definitely someone to keep an eye on in these next coming years. With the trend of dark alien-like beats dropping one after another, from groundbreaking names such as Rezz and Drezo, DMVU has waltzed into the scene with perfect timing.
DMVU released the hit song “Bloccd” almost a year ago exactly and since then the song has received tremendous hype. The track features a unique sound that is unlike most released even this year, or ever, for that matter. It takes about 30 seconds until the track begins to build anticipation, then, DMVU drops it with what I can only describe as underwater wubz. After the first drop, the song only continues its streak of individualism.
“Bloccd” has been on countless tracklists this past year, like Alison Wonderland, Bassnectar, and SLUMBERJACK’s, to name a few. I’ve heard it played live multiple times and without fail manages to blow away the crowd every time. The track has been remixed by other amazing names like Bleep Bloop, Space Jesus, and Ray Volpe.
DMVU has displayed incredible originality with this banger, and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us next.
