EC Twins's Biography

Born and raised in the musically historic city of Manchester, England, Marc and Allister Blackham, also known as the EC Twins, began their career in the House Music scene in Edinburgh, Scotland at age 16. They quickly evolved from “flyer boys” to creating and running the city’s most successful club: Eye Candy. The Twins excelled, drawing in crowds night after night continually packing Eye Candy way beyond capacity. The initials of the infamous nightclub stuck as the brothers are still known around the world as simply…The EC Twins.

In 2005, the Twins launched their own “British Invasion” and headed for the US determined to bring House Music to the American masses and targeted Los Angeles as a starting block. They began by performing in small clubs, funneling all of their limited finances into their music and performances. Their hard work began paying off as they slowly turned a local fan base into an army of dedicated worldwide followers. Today, the EC Twins still call LA home and are amongst the most influential and in demand DJ’s in the USA, pursued by every venue from underground to A‐list.

Known for their incredibly infectious high energy shows, the Twins have performed at every major venue in the USA and hold residencies at the infamous MARQUEE LAS VEGAS, SET  MIAMI, ENCLAVE CHICAGO, SUPPERCLUB LOS ANGELES, SUTRA OC, FLUXX SAN DIEGO as well as performing on a regular basis in as many of the leading venue across the globe as their diaries can permit.

The EC Twins continue their quest to enrich and empower the entire electronic music industry, not only as well respected DJ’s, but also highly sought after producers and remixers. The EC TWINS remix for ADELES hit record “SOMEONE LIKE YOU” climbed to the top of the charts on SIRIUS radio, following a critically acclaimed remix of LMFAO’S smash “CHAMPAGNE SHOWERS”. Their recent project as members of PLANET PERFECTO KNIGHTS under PAUL OAKENFOLDS “PERFECTO RECORDS” with a song entitled “ResuRection” hit the number 1 position on BEATPORT twice, with both PAUL OAKENFOLDS very own trance remix and BEATMAN & LUDMILLAS breaks remix. The talented duo have achieved top 10 success with their remix of the Grammy nominated Andy Caldwell’s “Scream” and Second Sun & Paul Harris’s “Doing It Well” remix which outsold the original 8:1, followed by more Grammy Award Winners, this time in the shape of DIRTY VEGAS’ “LITTLE WHITE DOVES” for which the EC TWINS & REMY LE DUC remix was awarded the top spot in an EDM poll for having been 2011′ “biggest hit that you may have missed” and their remix with Remy Le Duc, of David Garcia & High Spies “All Here Now” featuring Sarah Tancer, broke the top 10 on Billboard’s Dance chart. The EC TWINS own productions have all charted on the influential BEATPORT charts with SAY YES & TROUBLE reaching in to the top 30 and passing many of electronic musics biggest names.

This is all just the beginning of what is sure to be a long lasting career of trend setting original music and high profile remixes from this talented duo, who  relentlessly work hard to pave the way for House Music domination on a global scale. It seems only a matter of time before THE EC TWINS become a household name!
