Memorial Day Weekend #MDW2015 marks the first foray into summer events each year. This is the first weekend of the summer that Salt River Tubing is open, it is the first weekend of the summer where families all gather to cook up some juicy hot dogs and burgers, and it is the first weekend of the summer where Relentless Beats brings you some of the biggest names in electronic music! This memorial day weekend audience will be treated to the likes of trap superstars, trance legends, deep house mix-masters, and a wide-raging choice of worldwide talent. Check out what we have in store for you:
This Friday, May 22, Slander descends upon us their signature Heaven Trap sound at BRKFST nightclub in Old Town Scottsdale. Slander, like most great friendships, founded themselves out of a fraternity in college and basically achieved success overnight. Take a look at this article by Relentless Beats writer, Kara Curtin, highlighting the story behind Slander’s rise to trap stardom! These two DJs have played a number of festivals around the country and around the world including Nocturnal Wonderland, TomorrowWorld, and even Crush Music Festival right here in Arizona. They recently released a new EP entitled Nuclear Bonds alongside trap producer NGHTMRE. Don’t miss them at BRKFST and get ready to drop it low to some dirty new trap music!
Morgan Page has been all over the place lately with his new track entitled “Open Heart” featuring Lissie. This is one of many beautiful original tracks from Mr. Page, but his talent does not stop there. The SiriusXM radio host of In the Air with Morgan Page is also a DJ who caters specifically to his audience. He feels out the vibes of a show and accommodates with what is necessary. He’s not afraid to play the tracks of other renowned DJs instead of himself, and he really knows how to mix it up. You’ll hear everything in a Morgan Page set: Trap, Electro, Trance, Hip-Hop, Pop, Dubstep, Deep House, you name it. And in addition, you all will be treated to a special opening set from Mike Hawkins this Saturday afternoon! Open your heart this weekend to all that Morgan Page and Mike Hawkins have to throw at you.
Trance and Electro-House luminaries, W&W, bring their highly energetic tunes to the Release Pool Party this Sunday. Having crafted the Tomorrowland anthem for 2014, “Waves”, alongside #2 DJs in the world, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W have certainly proved that they are a force to be reckoned with as well as desirable collaborators. Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst also own their own record label, Mainstage Music, through which the have supported artists like Jetfire, twoloud, and Tritonal. In addition, the duo is no stranger to pool parties having played a number in Phoenix, Miami, and Ibiza, but they also hold residency at Wet Republic in Las Vegas. Expect the waves to hit hard when W&W lets loose their earth-rattling drops over the pool at Talking Stick Resort this Sunday alongside Julian Jordan!
Peking Duk closes out the weekend at BRKFST nightclub with their unique slowed down style of indie-electro house. The duo of Adamio Hyde and Reuben Styles achieved their massive success through original tracks like “High” and “Take Me Over”, as well as their bootleg remix of Passion Pit‘s “Take a Walk”. Receiving early support from the likes of Tiesto and the ARIA Top 10 Club Charts, Peking Duk became international superstars. These two guys have done everything in the scene from appearing on Diplo‘s radio show with a guest mix, recording vocals for other up and coming artists, performing at some of the most prestigious festivals in the world, and even receiving praise from Relentless Beats alumni, Tommy Trash, stating that “Peking Duk not only tastes good, but it sounds even better”. Make your way to BRKFST this Sunday night… and did I mention: THERE’S FREE COVER!
This one will be a very special and intimate event to close out your busy weekend full of dancing in the clubs and splashing in the pools. Make your way over to Bar Smith to experience the epitome of RBDeep and Circuit events with talent such as Dan Lunsford, Juheun, Michelle Sparks, Turner & Heit, and VJ Esc. This event will be showcasing various talent that embodies the deep and underground sounds of electronic music. With forward think artists and innovators, you are not going to want to miss this very special showcase!
Memorial Day Weekend only comes once a year, so make it count! We’ll see you there!
