Relentless Beats

Keep ‘Zoning’ with Zhu and The Bloody Beetroots

If the aura of mystery surrounding Zhu wasn’t breathtaking enough, then teaming up with an even more mystifying producer might make your heart skip several beats. Known professionally as Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, he is an enigma in itself, but teaming up with the seductive desert spirit Zhu, we get a mix of sounds that creates a dark and thrilling trip we never want to end. Both producers are fresh off out of the studio with tracks and are gearing up for shows. The Bloody Beetroots dropped his Heavy EP, ten years after the release of renowned “Warp,” marking his return to the scene. While Zhu collaborated with DJ Snake on “No More” and released the long-anticipated “Man’s First Inhibition” with NGHTMRE.

But their latest track is an oozing production of enticing vocals and throbbing beats that draw listeners into a dangerously addictive loop. “Zoning” is a four-and-a-half-minute piece that distinctly recognizes Zhu’s sound, distinctly recognizes Rifo’s sound, while somehow infusing the two to create an agonizingly unique landscape. Out now on Fuzz O Rama, check it out below.

The Bloody Beetroots’ new EP and collaboration with ShockOne on “Run,” we see a comeback happening in full swing. A heavy-hitting producer that still has an air of secrecy around him, will be prepping for a few shows, one in October and another in November. Be sure to follow him this year as more alluring and blood-rushing tracks are sure to follow this one.

Zhu’s appearance at Goldrush is now more anticipated than ever. His synth-driven sound and head-rolling vocals are powerful enough to captivate audiences all over the world and he’s bringing it all to AZ. Be sure to grab tickets and keep zoning with Zhu at Goldrush on September 27th and 28th.
