YetepDisclosure, the Grammy-nominated Lawrence brothers, have released a couple of new tracks in the months leading up to the release of their yet to be titled second album. The first having been released a couple of weeks ago, “Bang That” is a major banger and a far cry from the typical Disclosure release. Although the song has been receiving criticism for being different and un-Disclosure-like, it is still interesting to hear something so different from the duo. Take a gander at their foray into the much-explored field of big room bangers here:
In addition, earlier this week they put out a return-to-roots track entitled, “Holding On” featuring the sensual jazzy vocals of Gregory Porter, who was not only nominated for a Grammy, but also won one. The song might not be “Latch” and the lyrics might not have the same punch as Sam Smith, but it is certainly representative of the sound that they have created for themselves through tracks like “When A Fire Starts to Burn” and “F for You”. However, “Holding On” improves upon their established sound by incorporating a prominent Jazz element to the track. This consistently progressing originality is perfect for what has been labeled the first official song off of their upcoming album, however it is still unknown when the impending release date will be. If this song is any indicator of the sound that the album will take on, we can expect to hear much of the funky and progressive sound that Disclosure has popularized over the last couple of years. Move your body with “Holding On”!

Disclosure’s first album, Settle, was nominated for a number of awards including the award for Best Dance/Electronica album at the 2013 Grammy awards ceremony. The track, “You & Me” off of Settle, was also remixed by future Pressroom performer, Flume, and features a very sexy rendition of the song. Disclosure closed out HARD Summer last year and were recently announced for EDC Las Vegas 2015. Hopefully we will see them in Arizona sometime soon, but for now just keep holding on and tide yourself over with a performance by remix extraordinaire, Flume, on June 18th!
