November 15, 2024
All summer long we will be bringing you some of the biggest name DJ’s in the entire world right in your backyard at Talking Stick Resort. Being only halfway through the month of May, we are just heating up. Last year we held our first party there with Wet Electric Day 2 and already this month we have given you the likes of Chuckie, Dash Berlin, and Juicy M. Take a look at the upcoming events we have at the Release Pool Parties in Scottsdale starting with our Memorial Day Weekend line-up!
MDW 2015: Morgan Page + Mike Hawkins (5/23 11:00am)
Back in November Morgan Page took Arizona by storm playing two shows in one night: Global Dance Festival Arizona and the GDF after-party at Wasted Grain. Anyone who was there could tell you that it was a night they won’t soon forget and that Morgan Page may have possibly been the best set at Global Dance Fest, well in my opinion anyway. Morgan Page, known for both his extraordinary productions as well as his radio show, In the Air, on Sirius XM, is one individual who understands versatility. He adapts with the times and is only concerned about giving the best possible show to his audiences. If a good show requires him to play tracks that aren’t his own, then so be it, but believe me, you’re going to want to hear his tracks!
Mike Hawkins has been in the dance music industry for a number of years now, but has just recently entered into the realm of stardom. Having made performances with the likes of Ferry Corsten and Sebastien Leger in the early stages of his career, Mike now has the support of big names like: Sander van Doorn, Erick Morillo, and Fedde Le Grand. Mike achieved his highest success with the original track entitled “Soldiers”. The track has a bit of a middle-eastern twang to it and certainly pleases the ear. You’re not going to want to miss his opening set at Release!
MDW 2015: W&W + Julian Jordan (5/24 11:00am)
W&W are no stranger to Arizona or Pool Parties having played a number of shows in the valley of the sun over the last couple of years as well as holding residency at Las Vegas’ Wet Republic at the MGM Grand. This Memorial Day weekend they will be making a splash at Release Pool Party showing of their unique mix of trance and progressive electro. Over the years they have made huge collaborations with the likes of Hardwell, Tiesto, Blasterjaxx, and even Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. They recently released their track entitled, “Rave After Rave” which perfectly showcases their unique sound, and is a testament to their career determination and crazy touring schedules.

Another Memorial Day Weekend special treat is the appearance of Julian Jordan as the opener for W&W. Julian Jordan has made a name for himself through both original tracks, collaborations and remixes including his latest singles “Blinded by the Light” and “Angels X Demons”. Among his collaborations are the song “Rage” with Sander van Doorn and Firebeatz, as well as “BFAM” with Martin Garrix. Julian has a bright future ahead of him and your going to want to be able to say that you saw him when he was still rising to fame!
This will be the first time that R3hab has been back in Arizona in almost a year and a half and his welcome back party is going to be huge. R3hab is someone that I follow very closely and is one of the founders of my interest in the big room house niche of electronic music. Fadil al Ghoul got his breakthrough when he made a collaboration with Hardwell back in 2007, from there he went on to remix a number of huge tracks from the likes of Lady Gaga, Far East Movement, Katy Perry, and Calvin Harris, among others. Now being among some of the biggest DJs in the world, R3hab stands out with his sweat-inducing energy and earth-rattling drops. It would be a mistake to skip out on this pool party, because it may be a while before are graced with his presence again. Check out his collaboration with Calvin Harris in the meantime:
Ashley Wallbridge (5/31 11:00am)
Ashley Wallbridge has a lot going for him. He has an infectious energy to his live performances, he can switch the mood and rhythm of a crowd with ease, he can craft beautiful trance hymns, he can provide the filthy bass drops of big room house, he is diverse. Having released his debut album, “The Inner Me”, back in 2012 on Armada Records, Wallbridge has proven his sundry musical abilities. Catching the attention of Armin van Buuren is not something to be taken for granted and Wallbridge certainly has not. Having developed a much more extensive catalog of music since his debut album, Ashley has demonstrated his aptness to give his listeners what they want to hear. Come May 31st, Ashley Wallbridge will be immersing the crowd at the pool in an atmosphere where all that matters is the music.
