YetepJayceeoh has teamed up with New York bred Hip hop icon, Redman, and Jay Psar, for this year’s trap anthem “Turn Me Up Some,” out now on Super 7 Records. Club ready or not, here they come. Lead by Redman’s legendary hype presence, Turn Me Up Some is a full on aggressive party track, driven by Jayceeoh’s hip hop inspired trap production.
Meeting poolside in Croatia, Redman and Jayceeoh have formed what might be one of the most unlikeliest of relationships. An eager Jayceeoh approached Redman with beats on his phone, that he had tried to get cleared by Def Jam for Redman to spit on. “when I first heard Jayceeoh’s shit, I said yeah let’s get some work done,” said Redman in reaction to the music.
What once started off as a typical quest for sample clearance, has now turned into something much bigger. “..it’s just the beginning. “Turn Me Up Some” is a great intro record to a bigger project that we’re going to be putting out. We got a lot more to come,” says Redman.
Jay and Red are currently hard at work in the studio in preparation for a long length EP. With four records already completed, this project will feature full verses from Redman, unlike anything fans have heard before, meshing Jayceeoh’s urban inspired beats and electronic music inspired production.
2015 has been a busy year for Jayceeoh. Constantly touring the world for high profile events, Jayceeoh has ventured to Mexico for Insomniac’s EDC, Atlanta’s 420 Fest, Firefly in Delaware, held a month long residency at The City in Mexico, as well as his Vegas residency at Light just to name a few. He is currently working on his next Super 7 Mixtape Series due out in late August. This innovative collection is known for bringing together artists from electronic music, hip-hop, & more, and has featured the likes of Z-Trip, Gaslamp Killer, Grandtheft and DJ Jazzy Jeff, among others. In addition to the Super 7 Mixtape, Jayceeoh is hot off his chart topping remix of Alison Wonderland’ “Run” which was fully supported by Alison.
