Bassheads Brace Yourself – Bassnectar Announces Festival BASS CENTER 2016

It’s no secret that Bassnectar has some seriously devoted fans; they’ve been known to literally stay on the gate at the front of the crowd waiting for his set to ensure they’ll be able to get in their front-rail headbanging for his set. Earlier on in 2015, a fan apart of Bassnectar’s devoted legion had started a petition on Change.org, garnering over 10,000 signatures in support for Bassnectar (Lorin) to produce his own camping music festival.

As of this past Sunday it has been confirmed that this devoted legion of bassheads have gotten their wish for Bassnectar to throw his own festival: BASS CENTER 2016. Originally, this news was accidentally leaked a day early on Bassnectar.net; the post was taken down when Lorin himself caught the screw up, but not in time to stop fans from taking screenshots of the page. He then took to his Bassnectar Twitter page to provide clarity, while at the same time confirming that plans for the festival are in fact proceeding and in motion, as well as instructing fans to stay tuned for the official announcement on Monday.

Bassnectar Chocolate

The accidental leak on Bassnectar.net detailed a Willy Wonka inspired contest with Bassnectar rolling out his brand new candy bars: Bassnectar Chocolates. In the first 1,000 bars sold of Bassnectar Chocolate, 5 lucky winners will receive their Golden Tickets each said to grant winners a free weekend of “admission to next year’s BASS CENTER 2016 (2 full weekend VIP passes, plus camping.” However, in Monday’s official announcement, any mention of Bass Center being a camping festival has since been removed from the webpage, but it does still say there’s more information coming on the festival, as well as to follow on the prizes.

According to a mysterious Tweet from September, you probably won’t be seeing Bassnectar play at Red Rocks due to the newly placed restrictions and regulations, lowering their decibel level on the speakers even more. However, Bassnectar also revealed in this Tweet that he has “other plans for Colorado,” and I am speculating that this was him hinting towards the location of BASS CENTER 2016. So far we are still awaiting confirmed details on the festival, such as where it will occur and in what venue, but nevertheless we do know that BASS CENTER 2016 will be going down next year, generating great anticipation and excitement from bassheads all over. Unfortunately this first batch of 1,000 Bassnectar Chocolates containing the 5 golden tickets were made available via a limited edition run, completely selling out in under 5 minutes even with the limit of just 1 bar per person.
