Kaskade & CID Release Remixes And Video For “Us”

Phoenix Lights is just around the corner and one of our biggest headliners, Kaskade, has just released an incredible music video and some awesome remixes of “Us,” his collaboration with CID.

This music video is unlike any I’ve seen. It’s rare, because it is real.

Kaskade described in the video’s description that this story was based on real-life circumstances of a family in the Philippines.

“It rings of hope, belief and awe-inspiring fortitude,” he stated.

The video was filmed in Boracay, Philippines and was directed by Jet Lejano. It follows Arnel, a real life middle aged tricycle driver from Pasig City, Philippines.

“Everyday, Arnel gets up at at 5am to transport school children, workers and the elderly, within the village. He arrives back at his small home around 8pm to his wife and three daughters,” Lejano said in a press release. 

On a good day, Arnel makes about 500 pesos which is around $10, and is able to support his family with this, according to Lejano.

Lejano especially enjoyed making this music video because he got to film it in his home country, but also because he was able to create a lifelong memory for the family and bring them to Boracay, which he referred to as a “real life fantasy.”

Lejano said that families like Arnel’s do not normally have the luxury to go on vacation.

“Arnel thought he had won the lottery he could not believe it,” he said.

Comments on the new video have been incredibly positive and people are happy to see real people preserving and fulfilling their dreams.

“Overall, I was glad to be able to tell a story of a genuinely hard working family man that turns his dreams to reality. Anything is possible…We are all able,” Lejano said.
