Decade of Decadence: Headliners of the Week

Beyond Wonderland was filled with amazing performances left and right and it’s impossible to say only one was my favorite so I narrowed it down to my top 5 favorite acts, if you get the chance to see these artists I highly recommend taking it!
5. Alesso
Alesso started things out with a bang with his hit “Tear the Roof Up” followed by some more crowd-pleasers that had everyone jumping as he worked his way into the more emotional part of his set. You could feel the love radiating from the crowd as they sang along to “If I Lose Myself” among other of his emotional anthems. Alesso has been headlining some of the biggest events around over the past years and managed to continuously stay on top of the charts and at the age of only 24 he shows no signs of slowing down.
4. Marshmello
One of the fastest growing names in the game yet no one knows his real name… Marshmello has been around for barely over a year and is already selling out shows and headlining festivals across the globe. Not to mention recently starting his own record label and signing another quickly rising star. Marshmello can get the crowd hyped with some hip-hop and lead them right into a heavy hitting drop that will make the crowd go crazy. He will also slow things down and get emotional with songs like his remix of Adele’s “Hello” and is one of the best at mixing all styles together to produce a well rounded set.

3. Carnage
There’s nothing quite like seeing Carnage live. He knows how to read a crowd and build off of their energy. With his self entitled debut album “Papi Gordo” album recently released he had many original tracks in his set. You could hear everything from crazy festival trap to some old hardstyle bangers and the madness never seemed to stop. Just when you think you know what’s coming he’ll switch up the drop into something even more wild just feeding the frenzy of the crowd.

2. Yellow Claw
Arguably one of the greatest trios out there, Yellow Claw brings no lack of energy when they step on the stage. It seemed like just about every other drop there was a mosh pit starting on either side of me and everyone was raging hard. Drop after drop was some heavy hitting trap or thumping hardstyle and there was hardly time to catch your breath before the next crazy drop hit. This was by far one of my favorite acts and I am excited to see them again this upcoming weekend at Phoenix Lights!
1. Deorro
The pioneer of Panda Funk had the crowd bouncing through his entire set as he closed the mainstage on Saturday. The Panda Funk label owner brought out a few of the label signees including Dirty Audio & Zoofunktion to get the crowd riled up. The only thing that could make the music even better was the huge pyrotechnics as well as the mesmerizing laser show. Deorro definitely knows how to work the crowd and played all sorts music to keep the crowd moving even some mariachi style for his fellow latinos. I thought for sure I’d be out of energy by the time the closing set came on the second day but when Deorro finished his set I felt like I could go another day with that energy.
