Ghastly Shows His Family Appreciation & Brings 6 Year Old Nephew On Stage

Arizona native David Lee Crow, also known as Ghastly, specializes in a refreshing blend of house, trap, and dubstep that gained support from names like Dillon Francis, Borgore, Zomboy, and Skrillex.

Crow initially flirted with metal before finding his muse in the world of electronic dance music, and got his start after relocating to Venice beach and living hobo style out of his van, when he found work as Bassrush Resident DJ at Exchange L.A.. He then went on to release songs on labels such as OWSLA, Buygore, and Dim Mak, including “Miami Connection” with Jauz and “Crank It” with Mija & Lil Jon.

Ghastly has made his share of appearances here in his hometown but put on a special performance this last Sunday at Phoenix Lights Festival. Of course he came on stage announcing how happy he was to be performing here where he was born, but what was even cooler was that he had a good sized group of his family standing visibly backstage there to support him.

And then, what was even COOLER than that, he brought his adorable six year old nephew on stage, most likely melting every girls heart in the crown while doing so. Ghastly explained to the crowd that his nephew is his hero and that it was his first festival. When he asked him if he had anything to say to all of the people in front of him, he ever so preciously yelled into the mic “whats up!!,” and had the entire crowd tell him “Hi Cruz.”

Ghastly showed the crowd how important his family is to him with it being so special to him to create a moment for his nephew that he will never forget. It was evident throughout his set that he really put his heart into it with the support of his family being there to cheer him on. There were great vibes throughout the crowd during his entire set and that’s a feeling you can’t find anywhere else. Shoutout to Ghastly for providing such a great experience at Phoenix Lights!
