The Relentless Beat of the Week: Twofold – “Reverence”

This week we dive into a track which I discovered by scrolling through the Adventure Club soundcloud page. Appropriately so, the track featured, Twofold‘s “Reverence,” possesses similar vibes to the tracks of the Canadian duo referred to above. With these two coming to town this weekend, and having collaborated with Twofold previously on the track “Gold,” what better track to feature as the Relentless Beat of the Week than a tune which these two love and will hopefully play out this Saturday!

Encompassing sounds ranging from the melodic to the heavy to the blissful to the exploratory, “Reverence” is a transcending piece of music that demands our attention, which is easy to devote. Owning similar features of Adventure Club’s music in the sense that the track is more concerned with making us feel over making us lose our minds, it would appear that Twofold has a musical aptitude for melodic elegance.

Twofold is the joint project from Adam Crewes-Meyer & Adam McKinney who have each developed solo projects on their own, but are using Twofold for purposes of “experimenting with all reaches of the Electronic Music spectrum.” In other words, the most suitable adjective to describe this duo would be innovative.
