YetepHe’s fresh off a flight from Australia and swearing off planes for the next month. Taking the bus won’t be too inconvenient for Jai Wolf, since the bus he’s riding on is his own personal tour bus to every stop on his “Kindred Spirits” tour.
After his 2015 summer smash “Indian Summer,” Jai Wolf hit the ground running playing major festivals like Coachella, SXSW, Mad Decent Block Party, Hard Summer, Camp Bisco and a lot of euphoric sets in between. Now he’s fulfilling a high school dream of his, traveling all over the United States performing his 6-track debut EP, Kindred Spirits.
Indian Summer – Jai Wolf
Jai released the leading single “Like It’s Over” in late October and it’s safe to say it gave his entire wolf pack chills. Featuring the vocals of MNDR, who was initially heard on Flume’s “Like Water,” the track made the cut for the Spotify U.S. Viral chart and the Best of the Week Apple playlist.
Like It’s Over (feat. MNDR)- Jai Wolf
The album drops in two weeks, but Jai Wolf’s first headlining tour began on November 2nd, with Jerry Folk, Khai, Billboard and Chet Porter scheduled as opening acts. To kickstart his tour and celebrate his 25th birthday on Nov. 1, the airy DJ’s team snagged him a Kindred Spirits cake:

When asked in an interview with Noise Porn, Jai Wolf explained why he chose the name of his EP:
” I always think about how kindred spirits just means people who share a bond. I think about how when you play a show you have a bunch of strangers who are in the venue together because of music and specifically the music I write. I thought that was really special. It’s cool when people can connect with other people and bond over music. That’s the theme of the EP. It’s a tribute to the fans.” – Jai Wolf
Jai will be road tripping until his final show in New York City on December 10. It’s not surprsing that he chose the Big Apple to close his tour, because it’s always where he began his career as No Pets Allowed, playing the basement of Webster Hall and searching for his sound.
Perfecting his dreamy, cloud-like sound, Jai Wolf has seen exponential success, joy riding through his first bus tour and not stopping for any red lights.
