YetepJon Gooch, who’s better known as Feed Me, has just released his latest EP on Deadmau5‘s label mau5trap, who he’s been touring with all spring. The EP, titled Existential Crisis, is Feed Me’s first piece of work on mau5trap since 2013, and he definitely made up for some lost time. He premiered the title track on his BBC Radio 1 residency earlier this month but now the EP is available in its entirety for your enjoyment!
Existential Crisis is nothing short of outstanding. It has flaring electro house melodies and heavy-hitting bass. The title track features complicated synth melodies–one of his signature sounds–and large bass patterns. In regards to the EP Feed Me said,
The EP encompasses five pieces of music and artwork. In coming back to mau5trap to release, time feels like a flat circle in a positive way, and it’s exciting to work again with such a unique label that stands for individualism. It’s music to dance and forget about things for a short time while the world burns around us.. I find it important to constantly deconstruct, re-evaluate or reinvent myself or my surroundings, so with this EP and tour complete I take lessons and begin the next crisis.
It flows seamlessly through different facets of Feed Me’s talents, from electro to dubstep and everything in between. With it’s buzzing bass and rumbling kicks it’s a pleasure to listen to from beginning to end
