Greatest Album by Album: Odesza’s ‘The Last Goodbye’

Usually ongoing time without releasing new music means an artist has been hard at work in the studio, and that’s definitely the case for dreamy Seattle-based duo, Odesza. In the beginning of May, Odesza finally came out of hibernation with the release of two singles, ‘Late Night’ and ‘Line Of Sight.’ Fans went crazy over the two tracks, but that’s definitely not all that Odesza’s been working on. Just earlier this week, they surprised everyone with the release of two more songs, an official album name, release date, and a full list of tour dates. I think many others can agree with me when I say that this is the best news ever.
The duo has officially announced that they will be releasing a 16 track album titled A Moment Apart on September 8th. Showcasing Odesza’s eclectic range, the album’s featured guests will include Leon Bridges, Regina Spektor, and RY X. To go along with the album announcement, Odesza decided to grace us with two more beautiful tracks, “Meridan” and “Corners Of The Earth.” Both are extremely emotive and along with what we’ve already heard, a great kick off to the album. Odesza shared on Twitter that ‘Meridan’ has been one of their favorites to play live.
In support of the album, a massive tour is also part of all the good news. I had the opportunity to attend Odesza’s live show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver a few weeks ago where they played tons of new music, so selecting one of the following tour dates to attend is highly recommended.
