Ekali Joins The Owsla Fam

Nathan Shaw, commonly known as Ekali, had a milestone moment in his music career this week by becoming the newest member of Owlsa records. He shared the exciting news on twitter in tandem with a new music announcement. Him and American rapper, Denzel Curry have a new song coming out 8/18 titled “Babylon,” just in time for syllabus week.

The Vancouver based producer has been putting out music since 2013 but it was his remix of Flume‘s “Smoke and Retribution” from his 2016 Coachella set that was the catalyst of his explosive popularity. We were fortunate enough to have him in AZ this past April at Phoenix Lights festival where he filled the hangar nearly to capacity.  With his masterful ability to beautifully blend the worlds of electric and Hip Hop, his road to the top is just beginning. Congratulations to Shaw on this very well-deserved accomplishment, we look forward to seeing what this partnership brings.
