YetepTwenty-year-old rapper Ugly God got his start in early 2016 with his viral tune “Water.” Since then he’s been teasing new music and releasing the occasional single, including the recently released self-diss track “F*** Ugly God,” and “No Lies” featuring Wiz Khalifa. Last month he released his first full collection of work, The Booty Tape. It’s a little more than a mixtape, not quite an album, but I’ve got it on repeat all the same. Listener beware though, The Booty Tape is not for the faint of heart. With tracks like “I’m A Nasty Hoe” and “I’m Tryna F***,” this is a NSFW production, but the fans go wild for it.
The Booty Tape was originally slated for 14 tracks, with highly anticipated features from Lil Yachty and XXXTentacion. However, Ugly God disclosed via social media and other platforms that he’s had some issues clearing certain tracks with his distribution company. Seven of the ten tracks were produced by Ugly God himself, with additional production from PARISVVS, HM Surf, and Danny Wolf. It has over 100 million streams on Soundcloud alone and gives us high hopes for his future career, despite the voice over on the opening track dismissing his talents. In conclusion, “Thanks, Ugly God.”
Ugly God will be performing at the first ever Goldrush Music Festival on November 18-19. Get more info and grab your tickets here.
