YetepSmokepurpp, born Omar Jeffery Pineiro, is a Miami-born rapper who made his debut with the track “Audi” that quickly went viral. At only 20 years old, the rapper got his start on SoundCloud, with the help of his friend and frequent collaborator, Lil Pump (who will also be at Goldrush Music Festival!) Since then, he’s been making music among some of the best.
Smokepurpp released his first full-length album, Deadstar, this past September with several tracks featuring big-name artists like Chief Keef, Lil Pump, Juicy J, and Travis Scott. What sets Smokepurpp apart from the rest, which is made evident in his Deadstar album, is his ability to incorporate melodies that showcase his range. In the track, “Count Up” featuring Dram, for example, Smokepurpp gives us a slower, softer sound, using his vocal talent to deliver a track that goes beyond what we would expect.
Check out Deadstar and be sure to catch Smokepurpp at Goldrush AZ this weekend. Get your tickets and see the full lineup here.
