YetepUltra Music Festival is a wonderful time of year where many artists preview new music and put their friends on. During Slander and NGHTMRE’s set at Ultra, the artists showed some love to upcomers WAVEDASH. It was a pretty big moment for the young trio from Austin, Texas.
HUGE thanks again to @slanderofficial & @nghtmre for bringing us out at @ultra yesterday 🌴✨ here’s the first preview of our brand new song with @nghtmre coming soon!! ⚡️

But who are WAVEDASH, and how did they get acquainted with the boys behind GUD VIBRATIONS? WAVEDASH is made up of members Gavin Bendt, Luke Shippey, and Michael Stone. They cite Skrillex, Zomboy, and Porter Robinson as influences. It was on an OWSLA release, Worldwide Compilation 2016, that the group would catch the EDM world’s attention with a track called “Bang.” The name was a fitting title for this intense dubstep track with hard hitting bass.
Last month they released “Move Back” with Slander, further expanding their reach.
Now after their Ultra appearance, WAVEDASH is becoming a known force and as you can hear, it’s really well deserved. These two songs along with remixes of Excision and DJ Snake and their very own Diplo & Friends mix has these guys gaining tons of momentum. I’m definitely keeping my eye out and so should you.
