YetepWith every new project announcement, we are more and more convinced that Steve Aoki does not sleep. In late April daddy Dim Mak took to Twitter to share a new music series and a fast n’ furious collaboration with EA. Need For Speed: No Limits is a free-play racing video game that puts the pedal to the medal on speed and style. Because no one wants to race a Lamborghini to a wimpy, thin soundtrack, the good people at Electronic Arts teamed up with Aoki to give NFSNL drivers some audio adrenaline. Steve, along with studio friends, Vini Vici, Hardwell, Loopers, Laidback Luke, and Quintino all put in work to bring us 5oki– Steve’s latest EP.
Now released everywhere, the EP is not only enjoyed by new and returning video game players, but anybody whippin’ mom’s minivan. Revisiting his roots in Big Room and Electrohouse, this 5-track compilation goes into hard drive with zooming progressions and lighting speed bmps. Watch out for speed cams when your bump this one because this music will move you with full force.
Speaking of an adrenaline rush, that’s that feeling we got when we saw Aoki’s face plastered across our Goldrush Music Festivals headliner announcement. Grab your tickets here and come hungry because you know what goes down when Aoki is in the house.
