KANDY Offers Mid-Tempo Synth Magic on New Single ‘Stagnant’

Last March, we announced KANDY as a DJ to Watch—and his newest release, “Stagnant,” is certainly one we have our eyes on. The Long Island producer, Kevin Schuppel, is widely recognized for his pop remixes, most notably his recent house flip of Kellis’ 2003 party classic, “Milkshake.”

With “Stagnant,” Schluppel is showcasing his talents with this innovative, mid-tempo beat. Contrary to its name, the track is incredibly dynamic, full of heavy moving synth lines and fast chopped vocals. It proves he’s anything but ‘stagnant’.

It has already been a huge year for KANDY. In recent months, Schluppel publicly came out as gay and just closed the main stage at San Diego Pride in July. As KANDY’s platform continues to grow, we will surely continue to watch for more hot releases like “Stagnant.”
