YetepFresh today, YOOKiE just released the highly anticipated “Bassquake” on Kannibelian Records. The New York natives made names for themselves by being the Messiahs of all things bass and their crowns hold steady after this one. Arguably one of the filthiest tracks out there, “Bassquake” pulls trap elements with vocalist Jeff Kush that leads into the stomach-churning drop that reverberates in a screeching bassline.
In the Soundcloud upload, the boys left a sweet story about the new track, “We were at an Airbnb in Toronto when jeff kush sent us his verse. We had just walked through snow and sleet after eating at A&W. As our stomachs were full, we began to conceptualize an idea. It was a no-brainer, we wanted to make a record with bass that would actually cause an earthquake.”
Did you hear? The Lords of Bass are going on tour. With Yookie headlining the pack, Mersiv, Soltan, Lektrique, Krimer, Riot Ten, and Yellow Claw are stomping through the states with their bass ready to blast. They’re stopping by the wild, wild west this September for our second annual Goldrush3. Grab your tickets here.
